Naming Opportunities

Your Gift Matters!

As Mitchell Intermediate approaches its 30th anniversary the school administration has identified high priority funding needs.

1. FULFILLED | Replacing the 30-year-old library furniture which is no longer able to be repaired with more functional pieces: Library Furniture $60,000

2. FULFILLED | Adding 5 full Chromebook carts (30 computers per cart) to help our campus become a 1 to 1 technology school: Chromebook carts $11,000 each (5 needed)

3. Adding 175 Chromebooks to help our campus become a 1 to 1 technology school: Chromebook & Licensing, $350 each (175 needed)

4. Adding 17 carts for Chromebooks to help our campus become a 1 to 1 technology school: Cart holds 30 Chromebooks, $750 each (15 needed)

We would like to thank our anonymous donor for funding the Library Furniture and an additional Chromebook Cart for the school. This donation has made a significant impact on the students daily educational journey at Mitchell Intermediate.

Why computer science?

Computer science is foundational and changing every industry on the planet. Every 21st-century student should have the opportunity to learn how to create technology. Computer science concepts also help nurture creativity and problem-solving skills to prepare students for any future career. Economic opportunity for all Computing occupations are the fastest-growing and largest sector of all new wages in the US. Every child deserves the opportunity to succeed. Students also love it! Recent surveys show that among classes students authentically enjoy, computer science ranks near the top!
